COVID-19 Information for Parents, Students, and Clients

The health and safety of both our tutors and clients is a top priority. Due to the rising situation of COVID-19 in our area, we are focusing our services around No-Contact, Digital tutoring. All of our tutors have been trained to use Zoom (and other video conferencing tools) for online tutoring.

 

 

No-Contact, Digital Tutoring

When contacting us for tutoring either through our website or through our phone number, every client will be automatically assigned for No-Contact, Digital Tutoring services. 

For No-Contact, Digital Tutoring, you must have a reliable internet connection that has the ability to join a Zoom videoconference. You or your student must also have access to a computer or other smart device that has a functioning video camera and microphone. School-issued iPads, Chromebooks, or other devices will work fine for this service.

In-Person Tutoring

When contacting us for tutoring either through our website or through our phone number, every client will be automatically assigned for No-Contact, Digital Tutoring services. We will be re-evaluating In-Person Tutoring as local recommendations develop. Please contact us for more information and latest offerings.

To the extent In-Person Tutoring is allowed, and to meet the recommended CDC social distancing guidelines, you must follow our strict policy as follows:

Both the client and T.O. Student Tutor must be wearing gloves and a face covering during the entirety of the tutoring session.

 

Both the client and the T.O. Student Tutor must monitor their temperature directly before the tutoring session. If either of the party's temperature is at or above 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit, then the T.O. Student Tutor and the client must cancel their In-Person Tutoring session immediately and arrange to get a COVID-Test as soon as possible. 

T.O. Student Tutoring will not provide thermometers, personal protective equipment or sanitary supplies for an In-Person Tutoring Session.

All In-Person Tutoring sessions must be scheduled in an outdoor and public area that is open (ie. local park). When at the outdoor and public area, both the client and T.O. Student Tutor are required to be seated at a public table diagonally from each other. In-Person tutoring at a client's home is strictly prohibited.

Any shared materials between clients or T.O. Student tutors (ie. books, pencils, laptops), must be sanitized immediately after the tutoring session by the respective owner of the material.

T.O. Student Tutoring will not be held accountable in any way if our clients or independent contractors either pass or contract COVID-19 as a result of an In-Person tutoring session.

If you or someone you have recently been in contact with has shown COVID-19 symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19, please follow the safety guidelines for your area and DO NOT request an In-Person Tutoring session through T.O. Student Tutoring.
